CMI has helped to produce a number of high-profile advertising campaigns for the Japanese market working with the likes of Orlando Bloom, Cameron Diaz, Miranda Kerr, Brad Pitt, and Jean Reno, while working with feature film directors such as Wes Anderson, David Fincher, Isshin Inudo, Spike Jonze, Tarsem Singh, Masahiro Tanaka, and Wong Kar-wai.
SoftBank Mobile (2007-2009)
For the SoftBank Mobile launch campaign in Japan, CMI co-produced a total of 12 unique spots starring Brad Pitt over the course of a three year period, with shoots taking place in India, Prague, Los Angeles, France, and New York. Each shoot was helmed by a different director, which included Tarsem Singh, Wong Kar Wai, David Fincher, Wes Anderson, and Spike Jonze. The spot featured here paired Brad Pitt with the retired Grand Sumo Champion, Musashimaru, and was written and directed by Spike Jonze.
Toyota Crown (2012)
As an off-shoot of the extremely successful "Doraemon" campaign for Toyota, CMI co-produced a series of spots for the all new Toyota Crown. Starring Jean Reno alongside the renowned Japanese actor, Takeshi Kitano, the spots were filmed in studio and on location in Japan. The commercial concepts were developed by one of Japan's top creative directors, Hiroshi Sasaki, and were directed by Masahiro Takada with still photography shot by Yoshihiko Ueda.
Kirin Mets Cola (2013)
In early 2013, CMI co-produced the Kirin Mets Cola campaign starring Orlando Bloom for the Japanese market. The campaign concept was created by Takuya Matsuo, with commercials directed by Isshin Inudo and still photography shot by Yoshihiro Makino. A total of four commercials were filmed at Paramount Studios, with this spot featuring a customized 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster by the renowned motorcycle builder Shinya Kimura of Chabott Engineering.
